Banner like to support the police forces they supply with their charitable events. On Friday 16/06/17 Eric Mountain took part in an event Light the Lakes that is in association with Surrey Police. It is an event to support the charity COPS (Care Of Police Survivors). The event this year organized by Vinny Wagjiani at Surrey Police and we would like to thank him for his efforts in doing so. The challenge was to climb a mountain in the Lake District and set off a flare at 3:00 in the morning to honour fallen police officers. But it was also to remember the families that are left behind to deal with such tragedies. The charity itself is to help and support families that have been affected. Eric and his brother did a midnight climb up the tallest mountain in the Lakes, Scarfell Pike. They both reached the top at 12.30am which took them two and a half hours to make the journey to the top. They then waited around in what could only be described as a “ten force gale” and freezing temperatures in anticipation of lighting the flare at 3:00. The event went brilliantly and they both thoroughly enjoyed it.
